RIVE & RITUEL began with swimwear, but never with the idea that a woman’s life could be reduced to the brief hours she spends in the water. We design for the full rhythm around it: the first movement of morning, a day between city and shore, the quiet formality of a spa, a regatta afternoon, dinner after sunset.

A wardrobe shaped by ritual, not occasion.

We believe the most useful luxury is the kind that becomes part of your life. A piece should not wait obediently for a holiday or belong to one narrow version of a day. It should move with intelligence: from an early swim to a long lunch, beneath tailoring in the city, through the hush of a wellness ritual, or packed again for somewhere new.

That belief shapes every decision we make. Silhouettes are considered for support, movement and the way they sit beyond the water. Fabrics are chosen for softness and performance. Production remains close, deliberate and human. The result is not simply swimwear, but a thoughtful shorewear wardrobe designed to be worn often and remembered well.

Every piece is cut and sewn to order in Switzerland. This slower rhythm gives our makers the room to look closely, to preserve the integrity of a line, and to treat fit as something personal rather than approximate. It also means we produce for a real woman and a real order, rather than filling warehouses in anticipation of demand.

Our bespoke service extends that philosophy further, allowing proportion, coverage and length to be considered around the body that will actually wear the piece.

The rive remains in our name because water is where so many rituals begin. Yet the world of RIVE & RITUEL steps firmly onto land. A sculpted one-piece becomes a bodysuit beneath linen or tailoring. A secure silhouette moves from laps to paddleboard. A refined set belongs at the spa, the pool, the terrace and the journey home.

We design for this continuity. Not a costume for escape, but clothing for the beautiful, ordinary architecture of a life.
